We're excited to introduce new themes and contestants at the 2025 event!
This year's Rapid Fire Challenge theme is Sirloin Roulette!
We are thrilled to showcase the culinary skills of eight competitors at this exciting event that celebrates the art of sirloin steak preparation. Just before the Rapid-Fire Competition, there will be a live meat-cutting demonstration by Sierra Jepsen.
Interested in competing?
Eight chefs will participate in the Rapid-Fire Competition, with two competing simultaneously on the Center Stage.
- The stage will be set with:
- Two cooktops with Single Burners
- Selection of pans
- Convection Oven
- Cooking Utensils
- Serving Dishes
- Side Table for preparation
- Chefs will have access to a working kitchen behind the stage starting at 1:00 pm to prepare your dish.
- Each group of contestants will be given 15 minutes on stage to cook, present their dishes, and provide a sampling to the judges.
- There will be 10 minutes between each group to clean up and set up.
- The Culinary Innovation Theater MC Brian Connors will be asking questions about the dish you are preparing.

Celebrating the state’s long history of producing some of the country’s finest cheese, the CPC will feature 4 culinary events to showcase California cheese, as well as 4 Pizza Athletic categories demonstrating the dexterity and agility needed in the kitchen on a busy night.
