Spawned in Brooklyn. Went to the school of culinary hard knocks. Tried to make it as a Fashion Designer. Didn’t . Flipped burgers at McDonalds in Coney Island. Became a cigarette girl, at the Rainbow Room. Moved up to cocktail waitress at the scenic NYC Bar. Attended Culinary Institute of America, earned a Masters in Baking. Moved to SF. Slept on couches while searching for work. Landed first Pastry Chef job: Campton Place. Rolled over to Calistoga, to Catahoula for a second Chef job: Found her niche in farmers market inspired à la minute desserts + breads. Did heavy lifting as Wolfgang Pucks’ sweet right hand for 19 years. Wrote an award winning Baking book. Became international TV presenter/judge. Wrote a second book. Found true happiness in sharing knowledge + doing what she loves to do … still hustling, curious, + creative - whipping up meaningful solutions to sweet + savory hospitality challenges!
